So....This Is Where I Talk

I went back and forth on whether I even wanted a space like this on my site.

Not because I don't have anything to say, but because I've read enough blogs to know how quickly they all start to sound the same. You can almost predict what's coming next before you finish the paragraph, and I had no interest in adding one more version of that to the pile.

But, I also know this--if you're going to build something people spend time in, not just click through, there has to be a place where it feels a little more human than a product page.

So, this is that place.

This isn't where I'm going to break down every system I use or map out every idea I have. Some of that belongs behind the scenes, and some of it belongs in the products themselves. What you'll find here is everything that sits around the edges of that--the stories, the moments, the things that don't make it into a listing but are still very much a part of what's being built.

Some of it will be funny, because real life is funny whether you plan for it or not. Some of it will be frustrating because running a business while managing everything else life throws at you doesn't always go smoothly. And some of it will just be honest, because I don't see much point in pretending any of this is easier or cleaner than it actually is.

If you spend any time on the shop side of this site, you'll notice pretty quickly that it's a mix. That is intentional. Some things are created, some things are curated, and some things are simply pieces I came across that felt too right to pass up.

I'm not here to post every day or to keep up with what the internet thinks consistently should look like. I'd rather say something worth reading when there's actually something to say than force it just to stay visible.

So, if you come back here and there's something new, it's because it matters enough to sit down and write it. And, if you read something that makes you laugh, or not, or think, "yeah, that sounds about right," you're more than welcome to say so. I left comments on for a reason.

Thank you so much for capturing a beautiful picture of our son! I know it can be hard to take pictures of a toddler but this picture means more to us than you know. Your patience, kindness and dedication is shown through your work. You guys are doing great!
